The Real "Wonder Bread," with Double Fiber

double_fiberWhen I first saw Nature”s Pride, All Natural, 100% Whole Wheat Bread with Double Fiber in the grocery store, I had no idea that it was from the same people who addicted us to high fructose corn syrup and white flour with the infamous and iconic “Wonder Bread”. I am always suspicious when I see a high fiber product because I am not a fan of the bowl full of twigs that Kashi puts together and calls breakfast cereals. However, this is a great, hearty, multi-grain bread.

No twiggy taste and you would not know it is high fiber if you did not read the label. Nature’s Pride calls it “All Natural”, meaning no artificial flavors, colors, trans fats or high fructose corn syrup. Double fiber means 6 grams per slice, so with a sandwich made from this bread you get nearly half of your daily fiber quota. Also 100 calories per slice, with only 1 gram of unsaturated fat and 4 grams of protein. Fitness Magazine has named Nature’s Pride as the number one all natural breads and I can see why.

After reading your various posts, I committed to starting my own HealthJag TODAY! My breakfast was a delicious Kashi cereal (unlike you, I really like Kashi cereals!), skim milk, and blueberries. I will definitely try the Nature’s Pride bread as it is not only healthy but, I imagine, it is also filling. I have been reading your daily posts and have been INSPIRED. Thanks!!

I also like Kashi. Have you tried Strawberry Fields? It is the only way I want to start my day. I have been trying different whole grain breads i will definitely need to check Nature’s Pride out.

I will have to try the Strawberry Fields, but I must say that dehydrated fruit has never appealed to me.
